Richard this is a Five-Star piece!

Your thought about the tension between ambition and fear and the two opposing signals they send and tend to cancel each other out is a perfect analogy.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Hello James

Nice to hear from you -thanks for the comments too.

If everything you have starts with a decision (and it does), then I say let's learn to make decisions more in line with what we truly want -- not on auto pilot.

I do believe it (decision) is one of the most importants skills.

Thanks James

Richard,

I really enjoy the last two questions. It is a good check for me for last three major decisions that I have made. In thinking of these two questions, I gain more clarity of my decision making. Before I answer these, I see only one side, now I see both my compromises and what I can accomplish.

Thanks, - Jiahong

Richard,

Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

Four elements here resonate with me. As you pointed out "Acceptance may sound easy..." This is quite hard to do. For me accepting myself is a really challenging beginning. I noticed that I have many "hidden expectations" for myself, being too critical or harsh surfaced as the top blockage. As I experienced "accepting" myself is a too big step for me initially, I used "embracing" what is for me. For some reason it is slightly easier. After practicing it for a while, I noticed that it gets a lot easier now to "accept" myself. And once I can accept myself, accepting others becomes easier too.

This is great advice, Richard. I use this technique in getting a theatrical production up on time, but with hourly, daily and weekly goals since we work in a very compressed schedule.

Dead on, as usual Richard. Clarity also makes doing something big, scary or just plain unpopular easier. Really focusing for three one hour periods in one week lets you really hear your own voice, that in itself is extremely powerful and the first step in being the leader in your own life.

Thanks Donna
The plan would be to use that worksheet for each of the services you provide. I really believe that when you ask yourself questions like these you just get stronger and stronger in your product knowledge, self confidence, etc.

Try having two three or different ways to answer the questions – and be sure to create questions that apply to your unique service or product. Keep it light and make it enjoyable.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks, Richard. As always, your clear thinking and wonderfully direct approach has helped me be clear about what I'm offering, and why. The worksheet is a very useful tool.
